As smart as I believe myself to be, the last two weeks before MMM crashed, I was tempted to invest. Practically everyone I knew was involved in it. Churches were in on it. They were holding seminars in church.
My grandmother in her partial English partial Bini language had convinced me not to trust money doublers. Yes, even in the 30s, people interested in money doubling existed too.
